Reflection

I typically do not enjoy English classes however, I did enjoy this one. This class was not like the standard boring English class to me. I believe it was more of a who’s teaching the class other than the subject because I still did not like the course just because it is English, but the professors teaching style as well as vibes made the course better in my opinion. It allowed me to like the course although I don’t like English. As far as the course work I thought there were some things I enjoyed and some not so much. I thought the group work was fine it did not bother me and a good thing was that my group members were engaging and proactive in getting tasks done. The papers were good assignments as well. The narrative paper stood out to me the most because I don’t like writing of talking about me I’d rather do a research paper. Although I feel this way, the narrative paper wasn’t all that bad. Two downsides to me were the book and the blogs. The book work didn’t really seem that informative to me although I did learn a lot out of the book I feel like there was a missing connection due to the lack of discourse within the class at times, which is not really fault with the course or the professor, but more of lack of participation. Even though I understand why people may not want to participate. I for one typically don’t participate because I feel someone else will but at times it seemed like that’s what the everybody thought. The other thing to me that I did not really like was the  blogs. My blogs never worked and it was a hard system to use although I thought the class blog was neat. The class blog was helpful to me because everything you need about the course is available, ranging from examples, additional information, or content that we need to access. Overall I thought this was a good experience and the discourse we had was very positive. I would recommend this class to others. I think the best assignments were the papers and what I liked the most was that there was always plenty of time to complete task. I learned how to right with more detail and sort of put more emotion in my paper to draw out the audience better.
